Panerai has a really strong, unique, and frankly popular design language, they really have noone challenging them in their niche, but they're flooding their own market and all their pieces end up competing with each other for being so similar, but having myriad slight differences. The general public couldn't tell the difference between a Panerai and Rolex. Only a watch enthusiast could. That's debatable, and while most of the general public does not care, there are definitely non-enthusiasts in business that care.
With a tiny 6” wrist, I feel like finally have the chance to join the Panerai community with a real Panerai-DNA watch. Definitely love how it look on my wrist. Another thing for this watch is it runs the same movement you can find in Luminor due series, the p.900 movement, which is based on OP XXXIV movements. All that said, 'Hate' is a strong word; I think the word 'overrated' might be the more accurate descriptor of the anti Panerai sentiment.
