As per my previous thread I am looking to get a medium college YSL and I do love the gold hardware on it. However based on previous quality issues thread I am very concerned . If I had to choose a different hardware, I'd go for antique silver. It's stunning on YSL bags. I'm not sure about the difference quality wise, I have YSL bags in both the black and . I've used my 4 yr old med college (vintage shiny black leather w gold hardware) as an everyday bag for more than a year with no slouching. Out to dinner yes, wedding depends .
I have the small Loulou in the exact color and the medium Envelope in black with gold hardware. I prefer the Loulou over the Envelope because it’s not as structured and holds more. Would love .I really like the college for the crossbody and the versatility (can be dressed up or down) but my sister and husband said it looks too similar to the envelope. I have the College in both gold and silver hardware. I love that they have an antique aged look as opposed to super shiny hardware. Try the bag on with different outfits and see if you like it, if not you can return it.
