Rolex's "Oystersteel" is very anti-corrosive, and its high nickel content can irritate those with allergies. But they have some options.

I’ve got a Datejust, but it seems the nickel in the oystersteel gives me an allergic reaction. Is there any sort of permanent clear coating I can have applied, and if so, recommendations for places that do it? 904L steel in Rolex has VERY high Nickel content (25% or so). So, it can even trigger someone who may have very minor nickel allergy. (316 has around 11% Nickel)
