Finding such an original black waffle dial in a 1950s Omega Constellation is a significant challenge, especially for the earliest Constellation model, reference 2648. As we know, the black dial during that period needed to be requested specifically. It would help if you could provide some guidance as to what you’d like to do with the watch (sell, wear, keep etc.) The answer partly depends on whether you paid for it (or inherited it) and what you’d like to do next. It was Omega seamaster ref.2849-1 with uncommon waffle dial, serial no. 14,894,xxx (around 1954-55) and powered by caliber 503. In my opinion, - The dial was original with beautiful and uncommon waffle pattern. - The font of “OMEGA , AUTOMATIC, Seamaster, Calendar” was correct and original.
